Marine Band Search & Rescue Transceiver

Following the success of the 11-35 Aviation Band transceiver there was a customer driven request to develop its Marine band equivalent. In addition to its frequency of operation, the main difference is that the 11-35 is an a.m. (amplitude modulated) device; this Marine Band 11-83 is Frequency Modulated (FM). Operating in the FM Marine Band, these radios are generally tuned to the Marine Calling and Distress Channel 16, operating at 156.8MHz.
