Rack Mounted Transceivers/Repeaters - VHF / UHF

12-49-0000

The 12-49 series of 19" x 1U rack mountable repeaters are available as VHF or UHF units with user-programmable power outputs ranging from 50 milliwatts to 5 watts.

By adding a power amplifier within the 1U rack the unit becomes a powerful 25W output store & forward paging repeater.

Available Protocols: Salcom, TAP/PET, TNPP, ESPA.4.4.4, Ascom, Gaming, Austco, Match, Gent, GPS & Pulse Count, SMS, Scope, Comp1, Comp2 & Gaming

Salcom has further developed its range of rack systems in order to  provide off-the-shelf 1U 19 inch solutions for paging and telemetry.

These racks provide a conveniently packaged selection of standard Salcom core products that can easily be added to your server rack.

The 12-49 series of transceivers/repeaters are available as VHF or UHF units with user-programmable power outputs ranging from 50 milliwatts to 5 watts, with 25W output also being a configurable option when a power amplifier is also added.

They are capable of operating as NRZ or POCSAG transmitters. The built-in POCSAG encoder can be enabled or disabled as required.

In addition to a direct/RS232 buffered serial port, an on-board USB port enhances the range of applications to which the transmitter can be applied. Input/Output expansion is also possible via an internal.

The USB and RS232 ports can be used to initiate paging transmissions using the Salcom proprietary protocol, TAP/PET, TNPP, ESPA.4.4.4, Ascom, Austco, Match, Gent, GPS & Pulse Count, SMS, Scope, Comp1, Comp2 & Gaming. These ports can be used concurrently making it possible to connect a telephone interface unit and still initiate paging transmissions via the USB port.

Four discrete inputs are supported which may be used to initiate relay commands for remote control applications.

For paging applications a different pre-programmed message can be assigned to an input on high and/or low transition. The unit also supports low voltage detection on the power input.

Configuration of the transmitter is performed via the USB port or the serial port using an intuitive Salcom programming application which allows for the setting of all operational parameters.

The 12-49 is housed in an attractive 19" x 1U rack.
